Herbs & Kettles is a luxury tea brand that celebrates India’s tea regions through illustrated mascots called The Chaiwalas. Each animal represents its tea’s origin, connecting audiences to the region and its ecology. The brand combines storytelling, craft, and conservation to bring Indian teas to an American audience with authenticity and charm.
To design a limited-edition gifting collection for the festive season (Christmas & Diwali) that:
Captures the celebratory spirit of the Herbs & Kettles world.
Extends the existing mascot system (The Chaiwalas) into a festive narrative.
Balances cultural richness with the elegance of a global luxury brand.
Creates a collectible experience across boxes, tins, and packaging layers.
The gifting range reimagined The Chaiwalas in celebration- animals from different regions of India coming together across illustrated panels and windows. The packaging draws from Indian festivities, pairing deep blue and gold to evoke a sense of warmth, sophistication, and festivity.
Each box opens like a miniature diorama, revealing layers of storytelling through lush illustrations of landscapes and animals. The visual language balances detail with restraint echoing the brand’s position at the intersection of culture, craft, and luxury.
